A junior doctor is aiming to raise money to buy new x-ray equipment for Noble’s Hospital by walking the entire coastal footpath.
Harry Whitehead set off on his journey yesterday (Sunday) and will walk the 95 mile "Way of the Gull”, unsupported within a week.
The money he raises by walking will be used to purchase children’s equipment for the radiology department in Douglas and for two non-for-profit organisations which provide radiology equipment and training in the third world.
Speaking to 3FM, Dr Whitehead explained why the money would be so beneficial:
