Doctor cuts info won't be made public by government

The Department of Health and Social Care says it won't reveal any plans to cut back on the Island's emergency doctor service.

A Freedom of Information request asked for emails, letters, and WhatsApp messages between Health Minister Lawrie Hooper, Chief Minister Alf Cannan and civil servants about a planned reduction to the Manx Emergency Doctor Service.

MEDS provides an emergency service out-of-hours for issues that can't wait until the next day.

The DHSC refused to provide the documents, saying revealing them would prejudice the effective conduct of public business.
