Isle of Man Coastguard came to the rescue of a dog yesterday which had fallen down a chasm.
Teams were called to an area near the Calf Sound where the animal had fallen between the rocks, and using rope rescue equipment personnel were able to reach the canine and bring it safely back to higher ground.
Coastguards say thankfully the pooch was none the worse for wear after its ordeal and was returned to its owner.
They're urging dog owners to make sure their pets are on a lead at all times around coastal areas as this type of situation is avoidable, and that they need to make sure they're available if a serious incident occurs.
