The Department of Infrastructure says it doesn't know how many of its workers have had out-of-court settlements in employment tribunals.
A Freedom of Information request to the department asked how many unfair dismissal claims were settled in January - and how much had been paid out.
But the DOI says it doesn't keep the figures and so can't supply the information.
In its response, it said data about tribunals is kept by the Office of Human Resources.
