Nominations are being invited from people who wish to be elected as a Douglas councillor.
It follows the resignation of Alan Quirk, which means there is now a vacancy in the Athol Ward.
The successful candidate will join councillors Karen Angela and Stanley Cain.
Douglas Council says it wants candidates with vision, determination and a long-term commitment to take the town forward.
The deadline for nominations is October 9th. If more than one person comes forward for the role, a local election will be held on October 31st.
