A Douglas landmark could be demolished and replaced with a hotel under the newly-submitted planning application.
The former Salvation Army Citadel on Lord Street would become the 44-bedroom Citadel Hotel under proposals put forward by Hesketh Investments.
In its application the company says the development would include a bar and restaurant as well as a rooftop garden.
And the company, which owns the Mannin Hotel as well as other Island hospitality sites, says it wants the red-brick design to fit the area's character.
