Claire Christian and Paul Quine have been elected as the new MHK’s for Douglas South.
Both were voted in following a by-election in the borough yesterday which saw a 37.8 per cent turnout from voters.
Mrs Christian took the most votes with 930 whilst Mr Quine secured 469 - both will serve in their new posts until the next Isle of Man General Election in September next year.
Eight other candidates were part of the contest - Michael Josem came a close 3rd in the race finishing just six votes behind Mr Quine with 463.
Meanwhile, Andrew Jessop secured 342 votes, slightly ahead of Pamela Birnie-Malarkey who gained 337.
Anthony Allen was then next with 264, followed by David Fowler on 139 who edged ahead of Kevin Oliphant-Smith who claimed 132 votes.
Ian-James Clanton (HM The Sole) and Lon Pinkerton then made up 115 and 84 nominations respectively.
During polling on Thursday, 1,799 votes were cast in total with five spoiled ballots.
