The drug they have the most adult contact with is Cannabis, with Mephedrone and Cocaine second and third respectively.

A report has been published outlining the purpose of the Drug Advice Service and Helpline, DASH.

The charity was set up in 1996 and is seen as a crucial link in the Island’s drug and alcohol services.

The drug they have the most adult contact with is Cannabis, with Mephedrone and Cocaine second and third respectively.

14 people are currently seeking help for Cocaine problems, although DASH says those using the class A are notoriously difficult to encourage into and retain in services.

There was a sharp decline in the number of people experiencing problems with Mephedrone following its control under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

The largest number of drug users contacting the service are in the 18-25 age group.

DASH concludes their report saying that over 70% of the people engaging with the service leave drug free.
