An MHK says educating people on cyber security threats is key as the government announced a new event covering the issue.
Dr Alex Allinson also says whilst todays technology brings advantages it presents new dangers, which the government wants to educate people about at the CYBERISLE 2019 conference at the Villa Marina in Douglas on October 23 between 8am and 8.30pm.
Those who attend the event - which is free of charge - will hear from expert speakers and get advice on how to protect ourselves from online risks.
Registration to be there is now open and interested parties should go to the CYBERISLE 2019 eventbrite page - officials added any businesses wishing to participate should contact CYBERISLE@gov.im.
