A fire yesterday caused by an electric bicycle saw two people trapped inside a building.
Peel and Kirk Michael crews were called to the heavily smoke-logged building - and quickly sent firefighters to rescue the duo, who were on the top floor.
Both people trapped were escorted safely out of the building, and were found to have no injuries after being checked over by paramedics.
It was determined the smoke was down to an electric bike on the ground floor - an issue with its battery had caused a fire, which, luckily had not spread throughout the property.
Fire crews are reminding people to also store electric bikes safely.
