The Island's engineering students have received a 'huge boost' to help their training.
A Manx resident has donated high-tech equipment worth more than £500,000 to the Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre.
Dr John C Taylor is the founder of engineering firm Strix and is considered to be one of the 'greatest inventors in the British Isles'.
This week he visited the centre to unveil a plaque to mark the renaming of the computer numerical control workshop after him.
