Manx farmers are part of the solution to tackling climate change and not the problem.
That's according the President of the Manx National Farmers Union (MNFU), Tim Johnston, after Tynwald unanimously approved the climate change report from independent chair, Professor James Curran, earlier this week.
Mr Johnston says MNFU has commissioned 10 carbon footprint reports being carried out independently at a number of Island farms and that they will help improve emissions data for the agricultural sector.
The organisation is supporting the government aims for net zero carbon emissions by 2050, adding Manx agriculture is 'uniquely placed' to be part of the efforts to combat climate change.
