The president of the Manx National Farmers Union has announced he's standing for election in September.
Tim Johnston says he'll contest the House of Keys seat in Ayre and Michael during this year's general election.
He says he's lived and worked in the constituency for most of the last 35 years and is passionate about agriculture and the rural economy.
Mr Johnston says he's looking forward to meeting as many constituents as possible in the near future.
