Firecrews have been speaking to 3FM after a house in Baldrine went up in flames yesterday causing part of the building to collapse.
Fire crews spent almost four hours tackling the blaze on Clay Head Road.
Twelve firemen went in to the property where the fire caused extensive damage to the upper rooms and attic.
John Murtagh from the fire service told us that nobody was in the property and at times their operation became dangerous. He said the crews had to leave the house 3 times for safety reason as the roof was collapsing. (audio above)
Fire crews spent the night monitoring the house.
The owner is unable to return home due to the extent of the damage.
