After six years of no Humpback whale sightings there's now been five reported in recent months.
The latest came over the weekend just 300 metres offshore in Port St Mary.
The whale breached several times, swam on its side and upside down and at one point flapped its flippers on the surface.
They've been commonly spotted around the south and east coast, boat owners are reminded there is still a code of conduct in place and boats should remain 100 metres from any whale or dolphin where possible.
