Flybe has announced its getting rid of peanuts and nut-based products from its flights as of Monday.
From July 1 the airline won't serve any in-flight snacks which contain nuts in a move it says will improve passenger experience for severe allergy sufferers.
The company's Chief Commercial Officer, Roy Kinnear, says customer safety is the number one priority and the rules will work alongside measures already in place to further reassure passengers who advise they may be at risk.
Flybe currently operates several routes to and from the Island including Manchester, Liverpool and Heathrow.
