All new builds will be required to have clean heat installations from 2025.
As of January 1 next year, the government announced there will be a ban on the installation of fossil fuel heating systems in new houses.
Anyone with a fossil fuel heating system being installed in a new building prior to the ban must obtain a dated certificate from their heating engineer.
The government is offering fee-free amendments to anyone who needs to adjust their building plans because of the ban.
