Fresh scam targets banking customers

Scammers have come up with a new way to target local bankers.

Police say they've had numerous reports of people who have been called to say there is a problem with their account.

PC Claire Kemp works in the Financial Crime Unit - she says this time criminals have got more sophisticated.

Anyone who has fallen victim to this scam has been urged to call the bank immediately to try and recoup any losses - they're also advised to log it with Action Fraud.
