Gas bills were cut by 13.8 per cent for Island households yesterday.
The price cut on New Year's Day means the domestic heating tariff is now 9.76p per unit, down from 11.33p.
The cut comes after the government's Communications and Utilities Regulatory Authority reviewed prices last year.
Its next tariff review is due to start in June.
