Glenside Care Home in Douglas will unsurprisingly be one of the main issues raised in next week’s sitting of Tynwald.
Douglas North’s Bill Henderson will request a written answer from the Social Care Minister clarifying if the land Glenside is built on is Government owned.
He’ll also ask if any procedures are in place for voluntary redundancies and if any early retirement packages are being drawn up.
In addition, Mr Henderson will also ask whether any of Glenside’s current staff could be redeployed to the two new elderly care units due to open at the end of the year.
The issue of extra resources to cater for the care of elderly people in their own homes will also be raised.
