Chief Minister Alf Cannan says the government's spent under half a million pounds so far on an offshore wind farm project.
In the House of Keys this week, he faced questions from Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Tim Glover about the Mooar Vannin offshore windfarm.
Mr Cannan said so far consultants and other expenses had cost £467,357.
He added although he couldn't predict future spending, there were areas the government needed to budget for:
