The government says it's considering introducing new rules to cover zero-hour contracts.
The Department for Enterprise has launched a consultation to gauge people's views on the contracts, which typically give workers fewer rights.
In particular, it's proposing to allow those working zero-hour contracts to ask for a stable contract after six months.
It would also prevent employers forcing zero-hour workers to work any non-guaranteed hours.
