Olympic snowboarder Zoe Gillings will be starting the new record attempt off today
Members of the Ellan Vannin Gymnastics Club are aiming to set a new record today for continuous somersaulting
They're hoping to smash their current record by somersaulting 2500 times in a row in under two hours.
Around 32 gymnast are taking on the challenge. In training they averaged 24 somersaults in a minute so the record can be broken.
Head Coach Helen Duggan hopes the local community support the record attempt. (audio above)
The record will taking place in the Strand Shopping Centre.
