The Island's Met Office has issued an amber weather warning about flooding and coastal overtopping today.

The Tongue, North Quay and Lake Road in Douglas, Mezeron corner, West Quay and Parliament Street in Ramsey, Castletown harbour and East Quay in Peel could all flood at high tide.

Coastal overtopping is also expected on Shore Road in Rushen, Fenella Beach in Peel and promenades in Castletown, Douglas, Laxey and Ramsey.

The warning runs from 11pm tonight until 3am tomorrow morning.

There are sandbags available to the public to protect premises in areas that are vulnerable to the weather.
