The Island's health minister says taxpayers won't foot the bill for cannabis on prescription.
This week in the House of Keys Lawrie Hooper faced a question from Douglas South MHK Claire Christian about the costs of medicinal cannabis to the NHS and those prescribed it.
Mr Hooper explained cannabis isn't a tested medicine and so is only available via a private prescription.
He added those prescribed the drug will have to pay for it, and it's impossible to predict how much it will cost.
