Smokers who have quit the habit as part of Stoptober are being encouraged to keep going as they reach the half way point.
The event has been running for five years and aims to get people to quit cigarettes for 28 days - in the hope it will break the habit.
The Department of Health and Social Care backs the initiative and offers advice and support for those trying to give up.
