High school summer holidays extended by a day from this year

Secondary school pupils will get an extra day off during the summer holidays this year.

This year the high schools will re-open a day later than primary schools following the summer break.

Pupils will return on September 10th with primary school children returning on the 9th.

It's to allow teachers a day of working together to prepare for the impending curriculum changes.
