ID checks for sea travellers "no longer an issue"

Implementing compulsory identification checks for people travelling to and from the Isle of Man by sea will signal a "culture change". 

That's according to the Home Affairs Minister Juan Watterson who says plans to "test the water" will follow in due course. 
 
Last week the Island's Chief Constable called for tighter border controls saying the Island has become a "soft target" for criminals. 
 
It's an issue that's sparked debate between our listeners - Adam says it's a "great move", Elaine agrees we need to take a "serious look at security" but Peter says he doesn't think it will deter crime.
