Government has confirmed a new interim director of public health.
In a statement to 3FM, officials say Professor Hugo van Woerden has taken up the role temporarily, following the retirement of Dr Henrietta Ewart.
He has held director of public health roles in both Northern Ireland and NHS Highland and has more than 20 years' experience.
