Investigation after electrician is injured at hospital

Health and safety inspectors are investigating after an electrician was injured at Noble's Hospital last week.

The Department of Infrastructure worker was believed to be working in a switching station which distributes high voltage power around the building.

It's understood the 37-year-old has now been flown to the UK for specialist medical treatment.

The Department of Health and Social Care has confirmed the incident took place last Wednesday and says the Health and Safety at Work Inspectorate is now investigating.
