The Isle of Man Bank is warning of scam phone calls.
A number of people have lost money after being called from, what appears to be, a legitimate number.
In a recent Tweet, the Manx government said number of people have lost money after being called from what appears to be a legitimate number.
Scammers are also said to know the name of those they are calling.
A spokesman said the bank will never ask for card-reader codes over the phone and you should never disclose your pin or password.
If you are in any doubt, the advice is to hang up and contact the bank immediately.
Please be aware of scam phone calls purporting to be from your bank. There have been multiple reports on the Island which have resulted in financial loss. These calls are spoofing the legitimate bank number and know the name of the people they are calling.#cybersecurity pic.twitter.com/adkBSGzJnR
