Island businessmen make Sunday Times Rich List

Two Isle of Man businessmen have ranked in the top 10 of the Sunday Times Rich List.

John Whittaker and Trevor Hemmings were both included in the rundown of the richest people living in the North West.

Placing at number three Mr Whittaker, who owns the Trafford Centre and Liverpool John Lennon Airport, has a reported fortune of £2.34 billion.

Mr Hemmings, who came in at number 10, has a reported wealth of £725 million - up £50 million from the previous year.

The list - seen as the definitive guide to wealth in Britain and Ireland - will be published on Sunday.
