
For the fifth year in a row, the number of deaths on Island exceeded the number of births.
That's according to data released by the government - showing 710 births were registered in 2019, in comparison to 850 deaths.
There was also a fall in the number of property transactions and people getting married - 221 weddings took place last year, down from approximately 350 in 2018.
However, the number of local people using mental health services increased - up by 129 people in 2018.
