Island Pledges Significant Amount to Charity
The Isle of Man has made a significant pledge to provide provision to disaster struck areas of the World.
£36,000 has been donated to charity tearfund, with the money going toward water and sanitation facilities in the Democratic Republic of COngo, and the South East region of India affected by Cyclone Laila.
£14,000 has also been pledged to Christian Aid, primarily that money will go toward providing emergency food rations and distribution of water.
