Island's empty homes under scrutiny

What should the government do to tackle the problem of empty properties?

That's the question Tynwald will face later this month when the Treasury updates the court on the issue.

A report says the government's considering giving landlords a tax holiday if they refurbish empty homes and rent them out to key workers.

But there could also be grants to local authorities to help them take action against empty or rundown properties in their areas.
