The Island's prison has shown interest in using body cameras, according to the Chief Minister.
Howard Quayle says the prison holds an interest in Government Technology Services and is awaiting the outcome of police trials.
Mr Quayle added that body cameras have proven to be an "excellent aid to de-escalation and evidence gathering" over in the UK.
Garff MHK Daphne Caine asked in Tynwald yesterday whether there are plans for other public services to use the devices.
