Isle of Man to mark Eating Disorder Week

The Isle of Man will be marking Eating Disorders Week from Monday, raising awareness to the numerous disorders currently affecting a wide range of people.

In the eating disorder spectrum 10% have anorexia, 40% bulimia whilst the greater majority have an unspecified disorder, which can include binge eating.

The Department of Social Care's Mental Health Service and Manx Eating Disorders Support Group will be holding a free event next Wednesday at the imuseum in Douglas.

There will be a variety of information available to view and to take away such as understanding eating disorders and tips for parents, families, siblings and friends.

If you want to find out more about eating disorders and how to promote recovery please come along to this event. The event will be at the imuseum, Kingswood Grove, Douglas. Wednesday 22 February 6.30-7.30pm.
