Karran to decide school snow closures

Snow has been forecast for the coming weeks and it\'s been revealed Peter Karran will decide whether schools stay open or not.

Head of admin at the Department of Education John Gill has been outlining how his department makes decisions regarding schools when snow falls in the island.

He highlighted the various departments and people who are contacted during this process, and admitted the DoE has learnt from possible errors made in the past.

Mr Gill says he’s confident that the right procedures are now in place and, how ultimately, the decision will fall to Minister Peter Karran (see audio).
