King of Mann offers alternative honours

The Manx Royal family says it's awarding its own version of the New Year's Honours list.

In a post to Facebook, Drew Howe - the American star of the TV series Suddenly Royal - says he'll award three titles to people worthy of nobility.

The post invites people to nominate themselves or each other by emailing the "King of Mann" at titleofnobility@gmail.com

Mr Howe says he'll need to know who the person is, what they do professionally and as a volunteers, why you're nominating them and what it would mean to the nominee.

Winners will be announced in March.
