An update on flood protection plans for Laxey will go on display today (Thursday).

The multi-million pound project was announced in 2019 after a river burst its banks, leaving dozens of properties submerged under water.

A drop-in session has been arranged from 13:00 this afternoon at the Working Men's Institute.

In addition, a presentation, led by the Director of Highways, will get underway this evening at 18:00.

The government said it will outline plans for a surface water scheme, due to begin next month on Minorca Hill.
