Ramsey lifeboat was called out after a yachtsman was injured at the weekend.
The incident happened shortly before 4pm on Friday when the man dislocated his shoulder just over two miles from Douglas Harbour.
Two lifeboat crew boarded the yacht and sailed her to Douglas with a lifeboat escort.
The man was taken to Noble's Hospital by ambulance for treatment.
