Douglas lifeboat went to the aid of a yacht which got into trouble one mile off the Island's coast last night.
The 11-metre vessel was on its way back to port when a sail jammed just after 8.30pm.
The Sir William Hillary reached the boat which was drifting away from the Island and towed her back to safety.
None of the four people aboard were hurt during the incident.
