Liverpool woman accused of importing drugs

A Liverpool woman will appear in court this morning charged with bringing drugs to the Isle of Man.

Police and officers from Customs and Excise stopped the 40-year-old as she disembarked the Ben-my-Chree on Wednesday afternoon.

She was searched and a number of packages - which are believed to contain Class A drugs - were located.

The woman has been charged with production and possession of the controlled drugs with intent to supply.
