Local drinks company trying to 'save the bees'

Roots Beverage Company has launched a crowd funding initiative to raise enough money to expand its bee farm. 

 

Bees help produce one in every three bites of food we eat but the bee population is in danger because of the use of herbicides, pesticides and the Verroa Mite.

 

Roots uses honey to sweeten its drinks and donates 10 per cent of its annual profit to assist in saving the bees.
