A local hotel has pledged its next three weeks worth of Sunday dinner takings to help an elderly resident who was recently scammed out of nearly £6,000.
The Palace Hotel will work alongside the police and social services to arrange the reimbursement.
Any additional funds once the target has been reached will be given to local charity assisting the elderly and vulnerable.
