An Onchan MHK says he doesn’t expect much support from the Lottery Trust as he bids to re-purchase a local youth centre.
Peter Karran is attempting to raise £100,000 to buy Kenyon’s from the district’s commissioners, who he sold it to in 2005.
The local authority wants to sell the site and provide other youth services elsewhere.
The Liberal Vannin leader has already started a fundraising effort but admits he faces an almighty task to find the significant sum of money (audio):
