The Mailbox bar and deli in Douglas has gone in to liquidation after closing business yesterday.
Its owners confirmed the news this lunchtime after admitting they couldn’t find new investors.
The decision was made at a board meeting yesterday morning where a liquidation expert was invited to attend.
The directors say they were left with no option but to cease trading, which took effect at 3pm yesterday.
Advertisements for the attention of creditors will be placed in the press soon.
The directors say they will contact customers this week regarding Christmas party bookings and assist in other arrangements.
