Man arrested following robbery in Crosby

Police have charged a Douglas man after an assault and theft in Crosby yesterday.

A 20-year-old woman was assaulted and her mobile phone was taken at around 4:40pm at a concrete bus shelter.

It happened at the junction of Main Road and Eyreton Road - the woman was not seriously injured.

A 27-year old man has been charged with robbery and appeared in court today.

Enquiries are ongoing - any witnesses are asked to contact Castletown Police Station on 822222.
