In the early hours of yesterday morning an off duty Police officer came across a crashed sports car, with the sole occupant trapped inside.
The Nissan 350Z had left the road colliding with the trees and hedges at the road side causing substantial damage to the car and hedge, trapping the driver by his feet and legs.
Fire crews spent 30 minutes freeing the individual, and early indications would suggest he wasn't seriously injured.
He was then taken to Nobles for a check up, the current condition of the casualty it not known.
Following the drivers extraction the Fire and Rescue service provided their aerial ladder platform to assist the Police investigation.
