Manx cat researchers look to DNA sequencing

Ex-St. Ninian's student Rachel Glover is the lead scientist on the project - which is now crowd funding to sequence the first of three animals. 

 

If the money is found, and the project goes ahead, the University of Missouri will process the information and add it into the cat research database. 

 

Rachel is hoping it will lead to diagnostic tests - which could provide health improvement solutions for the breed.
